In a remarkable achievement, Taj Accountants, a leading accountancy firm based in Whitechapel, has been bestowed with the coveted 'Licensed Member of the Year' award at the prestigious AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Professional Member Awards. The awards were announced on the 8th of June, 2017.
Abul Nurujjaman, the Managing Director of Taj Accountants, is the proud recipient of the award. At the tender age of 21, Abul migrated from Bangladesh as an international student. Following his graduation, he pursued AAT and established his own small practice. Fast forward to today, at the age of 35, his brainchild, Taj Accountants, boasts around 400 clients.
The past year has seen significant growth for Taj Accountants. The firm has transitioned to a new premise and expanded its workforce from three to eight employees. This strategic move has resulted in a marked increase in work efficiency and quality standards. The firm has also developed a robust website and consistently provides accounting updates through various channels such as TV, newspapers, radio, their own magazine, and YouTube channel.
Abul's innovative marketing strategy and adept use of technology to enhance business practices have played a crucial role in him securing the AAT’s Licensed Member of the Year award. The award, part of the qualification and professional body’s Annual Conference, lauds the commendable achievements of AAT’s professional members. Abul's partnership with several software providers, which has added immense value to his practice, greatly impressed the judges.
Following the award ceremony, an elated Abul said, "I am really honoured and delighted to receive this prestigious award, which is recognition of my professional excellence at Taj Accountants. Our aim is to maintain this top-class service to the community and wider business society. I am sure the award will become an encouragement for us, our community and other professional service providers."
Nicky Fisher, AAT President, acknowledged the high quality and volume of submissions received, which made the task of selecting the final shortlists and winners quite challenging. She congratulated all the winners and shortlisted members for their achievements, expressing confidence that these awards will continue to be an integral part of future AAT Annual Conferences.
This momentous win underscores Taj Accountants' commitment to professional excellence and community service, setting a high benchmark in the industry.
